The residents of Malcesione are quite proud of what they affectionately call "El nos Oio" (Our Oil). This is a prized liquid, harvested from difficult terrain in a mediterranean oasis between the foggy plains of the Po Valley and eternal glaciers of Alps.

Olive growing has been documented on Lake Garda as far back the 8th century.

Here, thanks to the migrating effects of the Lake, this noble and tipically mediterranean plant can grow and give up its precious fruit.
